The course aims at: Developing learners’ ability to use English effectively for the purpose of practical communication. Forming a solid foundation for the skills required for fulfilling the exam requirements. Building up the learners skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking. Course fees will include: Induction sessions to introduce concepts, instructions and tips for each exercise Practicing exams from past papers Assigning exercises for individual practice Following up on student’s assignments to guarantee their progress Assessing students regularly through exams and quizzes This course will be conducted by Ms. Shaimaa Abd El Aziz

Course content:

The skills covered in the syllabus are outlined below:

Reading:

• Select relevant details and understand the difference between what is directly stated and implied

Writing:

• Practice writing for different purposes and audiences
• Produce written texts with a wide range of language structures (i.e. grammatical and lexical)
• Produce written texts that show very good control of punctuation and spelling

Listening:

• Learners will listen to a range of spoken material, including talks and conversations, in order to develop listening skills
• Understand what is implied but not directly stated, e.g. gist, purpose and intentions

Speaking:

• Learners will engage in conversations on a variety of topics, and develop their skills in responding to different situations and audiences with a degree of accuracy and clarity
